so let me just start by saying i LOVE OCTOBER!!! :) its vunderful! but oh my goodness gracious this year is just soooaring! last month i went to Lake Powell with my [beyond awesome] older sis Madison & a bunch of cool kids for POWELLOOZA! i must say it was a killer good time! i had a lot of fun! so lately i've just been doing school and work. i'm taking 5 classes: Astronomy, Human Development, Marriage & Family Life, Spanish, & Statistics. soo i've been keeping myself busy that's for sure. haha other than that i've just been hanging out with my family and trying to get more shleeeep. i am definitely a sleep deprived student. haha sooo this weekend has been wonderful so far. i went to see a movie with mi familia. thursday night i went to see the midnight showing of the new Jackass movie with my [amazing] older brother cameron! and nooo i did not see it in 3-D and i'm very glad i didn't because i probably would have spewed all over the place haha. very funny movie. i seriously cannot remember the last time i laughed that hard in a movie. haha but i do not recommend it for people with a weak stomach... tonight i saw the movie "Secratariat" with my daddy and the twinners. it's a reeeally good movie. makes me wanna go horseback riding. & i recommend that movie for surrre. i also got to spend time with my baby niece GiGi and nephew Jude. They are adorable!!! and are growing sooo fasssst! its scaring me! haha but anyway sooo i'm turning shwenty one tomorroooow! baaaah! i'm so old! haha but yeah i have a feeling this 21st year of mine is going to be faaabulous! :) anywho so i'm having the family over for dinner tomorrow night! my mom and dad are gunna make my faaavorite SPAGHETTi! mmmm i'm very excited! & Jude turns 2 on monday! woohoooo! i love birthdays! i love my family! & i love life! alright well i'm going to start celebrating by watching newsies with my little sis and then go to beeeed. got a big day ahead of me: Churchity Church, Matty Boy's Farewell, and then PARTYYYY FAMiLY STYYYLE!!! :) woohooo! haha i'll update you soon. laterrrr! <3>

Happy Sundaaay!

hello everyone! wow these past few weeks have just flown by! but i do have some very exciting news! my brother cam and sister-in-law emily had their first baby girl Gigi Michele Brown a few weeks ago! so i got to see her for the first time on Tuesday! and ohhh my goodness she is beautiful! so so tiny but she's adorable! she has super dark brown hair too! like a full head of brown hair! i love it! and i love her! and i am sooo happy for cam and em! and that max and jude have a new baby sister! i'm so glad that she's here and healthy! :) i'm so excited to buy her little dresses and girly stuff! haha oh and i saw the new movie 'Inception' twice! and it was incredible! sooo crazy! really makes you think a lot. Leo definitely deserves an Oscar for it! haha and i went shopping with jessica! and met new and fun boys! woohoo! it was a great week! and i had a veeeery interesting but fun weekend... haha but anyway today is the Sabbath and i enjoyed every bit of it. :) i attended three different wards! woohoo! i can just smell the blessings coming my way. haha and i've been reading/studying/highlighting my Scriptures today more than i have in a long time. i cannot say enough how thankful i am for this Gospel and that i have it in my life. oh it is wonderful.. wonderful to me. (cheesy i know haha) well i hope everyone is having a splendid Sunday! here's a cute quote i found from our sweet sister Marjorie Hinckley. JULY?! Is That You?! Leaping Lizards!

well surprise surprise! it's that wonderfully scorching hot month we Arizonians know as JULY!!! and i am just loving every sweaty second of it! :) but i'm also shocked at how fast time flew by this past month. good googly moogly! i've been having tons of fun this summer though. last week i went to Carlsbad, California with my dearest friend Jessica and her family. & it was sooooo much fun! we stayed there for a whole week! gah it was bliss! i lovelovelove california! so i was beyond thrilled that i was able to stay there for that long. it was wonderful. we went shopping in Oceanside, San Diego, and then went to Legoland and walked through their new aquarium. We also saw Toy Story 3 [which i absolutely adored] & went to a music museum. on our last day we went to L.A. to visit her friend Cory. he took us to Venice Beach and WOW was that ridiculously fun. lots of entertaining people there! so now i'm home and back to reality. workworkwork. but it's been a eventful week back. one event of the season being that the movie Eclipse came out this week. i took my little sister to go see it & i have to say i friggin loved it! waaay better than the other ones. Fact: Taylor Lautner aka Jacob is ridiculously attractive!!! it was definitely a trial to keep my mind from wandering when i was staring at his shmokin sexy bod! my GOODNESS he is sooo doggone HOTT! i was literally drooling! haha so anyway! Yesterday was INDEPENDENCE DAAAY! :) & boy it was a great day. gotta love the feeling of freedom! i also was happy to celebrate it with some of my family. cameron, emily, max, & jude came over on saturday and had a sleepover. that was way fun. :) we played Texas Hold Em with candy. i was surprised at how good max was at his poker face. haha so the next day on the 4th we all went swimming and morgan, nick, jacob, emily's sister ashley and her husband dallin came over too. it was such a lovely day. i am so blessed to have such a big and wonderful family. my family means everything to me. after we were done swimming, we all went over to emily's family's house and had a delicious dinner. Her dad makes thee best ribs. seriously, i'm not the biggest fan of ribs but oh my gosh these ribs were exceptional! Seriously Amazing!!! best ribs i have ever had! haaands down! after dinner, i met up with some friends and watched the fireworks show at the University of Phoenix. it was a pretty good show. it made me miss watching fireworks in utah though. someday i wanna go to Washington D.C. to celebrate the 4th. i have a feeling their fireworks show is probably one of the best. after the fireworks, jessica and i met up with more friends at In-n-Out for "midnight run". a very American way to end America's birthday. haha it was a very fun Independence Day this year. i enjoyed it. well, it's getting late and i have work in the morning. so i will update you later this month. goodbye for now!

june juney june bug!

well well well june has definitely snuck up on me. haha but hey! may was marvelous! the AVA concert was incredible! i got to meet the whole band! and hang out with them during their soundcheck! and i got a free poster that they signed for me and a free t-shirt! gaaah i was in heaven. AVA=Greatness! they make me happy. :) & memorial day was fun! i went to the river with my gorgeous cousin amanda zoe, her lover preston, and preston's brother & friends. it was a blast! sooo many people were there. it was quite a day! i got burnt pretty bad but its turning into a tan so i'm excited! & i can't express how happy i am that spring semester is overrrr! no more school til august! i LOVE SUMMERTiME!!!! so what does june have to offer jordan brown? let's seee.... well So You Think You Can DANCE! is back on again! gaaah i am so thrilled! SYTYCD is my favfavfavorite! oh & i'm going to california later this month with my favorite woman jessicaaaaa! so that's going to be a splendidly wonderful vacation! :) gaaaah! i am so happy with my life and where it's going. i'm a lot happier now than i was last year. a lot has happened this past year, but i've grown so much & am looking forward to the future. yay life! haha well, i am going to go enjoy my wednesday night with my girl jess. i will keep you posted more this month i promise! :) peeeeace!

April Already?!

Alright wow! i seriously cannot believe it's April! time is flying! well spring break was a blast! saying it was fun would definitely be an understatement. haha mexico is always a good time! loved it & met lots of cool people! :) ah i miss mexico... anywho. school is going good. but i am soo-ho-ho ready for summertime. :) so what is new in jordan's life you ask? hmmm nothing much really haha. just livin life day by day. & life is good. so i'll just share some random nonsense that i'm thinking about.
1) i'm saving up my money to buy a new pair of cowgirl boots. :)
2) i just got four new dresses and am getting another one tomorrow! haha! i LOVE dresses!
3) i'm going to the Angels & Airwaves concert with my friend Adam next month and can't waaait! this will be my second time seeing them in concert! they are amazing live!
4) i love watching the Biography channel! (i'm watching the biography on Jon Bon Jovi right now).
5) i have a major crush on Shia Labeouf! did you see him on the cover of GQ this month?! ooh baby babyyy! he is mighty fine.
6) i am so excited for my cycling class tomorrowww!!!
7) i think i might like Modern Family more than The Office now... crazy i know but Modern Family is hilarious! i love everything about it! & Kirstie Alley's new show Big Life is way funny!

Lunes Lunes... so good to me

Well howdy! sorry for not blogging for two weeks! Wow! i'm a horrible blogger. but hey i'm a beginner and will improve don't you worry. So these past few weeks have been busy busy. School is going well though. i'm doing amazingly well in my spanish class. Areebaaa! haha it's funny though, being in that class makes me want move to Mexico or go on a mission to a Spanish speaking country. haha & since i'm turning 21 this year its a definite possibility! hmmmm... we'll see! haha oh and p.s. i cannot believe it is already March!!! March Madness has officially started! woohoo! ah i am so excited for Spring Break and all of its wonderfulness! :) I'm planning on going to Mexico so that's a guaranteed good time. haha so what else is new...oh I've also been getting a lot of missionary mail which is rare since I don't really write missionaries. haha but my good friends from high school that are out on their missions have been writing me lately and I have to say I am enjoying getting & returning their emails. I guess I forgot how fun having pen pals is. But yeah, don't worry readers, i don't have a missionary that I'm waiting for. not my style. haha Well other than all of that fun stuff, I've just been working at Bella and working out everyday. I've now lost 25 pounds! :) can i get a woot woot?! haha ah I cannot stress how much happier I am. i love it. oh & i attended two beautiful wedding receptions. i love going to weddings. even though i feel like i stick out like a sore thumb as a single 20 year old mormon woman. haha all these single mormon ladies are dropping like flies. haha but whatev. Hakuna Matata. my time will come. just gotta be patient. So in other news, I've finally started rearranging my room! YAAAY! haha i love doing interior decorating projects. We got my zebra carpet stretched and cleaned today so it looks lovely now. woop woop. so we've been moving around my furniture & it's crazy how much bigger my room looks now since I moved my bed. But yeah, so this week I'm going to Walmart to buy myself a Flat screen TV. & I'm going to look around for some chairs or a small sofa. I am sooo beyond excited! :) (if anyone knows of any nice brands of flat screens let me know because i am sort of clueless in that department) oh & speaking of interior decorating projects, haha, i got to help my friend Jessica paint her apartment this weekend! it was a lot of fun and turned out great! So what else is new...hmm.. oh right! Hoy! Today was a great monday! I got to babysit my adorable baby nephew Jude this morning! (The adorable little boy in the picture) I cannot believe how big he is getting! It's nuts! He is so much fun. I enjoyed playing with him. His favorite thing to do right now is chuck things as hard as he can. & it's funny watching him do it because he thinks its hilarious. haha he's so precious. & super active! He kept crawling around and saying "Dadadada" haha i adore that child. & I am sooo excited because my brother Cam and his wife Emily (Jude's parents) are expecting a daughter at the end of the summer! I'm going to have another niece!!! I am absolutely thrilled! :) i can't wait! i love shopping for babies! haha that might sound weird to you but it's fun to me! i was born with a love for shopping. My Very First Blog Post... WOO HOO!

Well hello blogging world! & Happy Valentine's Day! Or, for all my fellow singles out there, Happy Singles Awareness Day! haha but most importantly: Today is Arizona's 98th Birthday! Yeah AZ! & I must say that it is a wonderful day in this spectacular state! Perfect weather and now i'm gazing outside at another typical gorgeous Arizona sunset. Ahhh wonderful. I'm also watching the movie "Julie & Julia" with my little sister and I must say I am loving it. :) One of my New Year's resolutions is to attain cooking skills, since all I really know how to cook is macaroni and spaghetti. So, if anyone out there has any delicious recipes out there, please do not hesitate to send them my way.

Oh! & I am very pleased to announce that I have already accomplished one of my other New Year's Resolutions! I have lost 20 POUNDS! Do you hear me?! TWENTY! & I'm not exaggerating at all! Literally 20 pounds have disappeared from my body! I'm not going to lie, I am very proud of myself. I feel great! Happier & Healthier! I am eating healthier too. It's fantastic! I'll put pictures up soon. :)

Hmm so what else is new in my life? Let's see... I am a Sophomore in college, going to school full time at MCC, and am leaning towards getting a degree in Education or Psychology to become a teacher or a counselor. Last year, I had the opportunity to do service learning with my cousin Morgan who is a 3rd grade teacher and a 2nd grade teacher from the elementary school I attended. I absolutely loved it. So, this semester I am taking four classes: Sociology, Public Speaking, Art Humanities, & Spanish! I am loving all of them so far. My professors are great. My favorite right now is my Art class. It makes me want to travel so badly. Oh, if only traveling and studying abroad wasn't so ridiculously expensive... which brings me to my next subject: my job.

I work every day, except for Sundays, at a women's clothing boutique called "Bella Blue". I really enjoy working there and I adore my boss. The clothes & accessories we sell there are beyond cute. So if you are into fabulous clothes and fun accessories, then you should definitely come check it out (you can get the address if you go to our facebook page).

So back to the fact that today is Valentine's Day... meh... Although I do not have a Valentine this year, and haven't had much experience with that *blissful* thing called "love", I am still a happy & optimistic single woman. I know someday soon I will meet that man that I will be with for time and all eternity. I just need to be patient.
